Musaeus College defeated Gateway College 31-42 to win the Marie Musaeus-Rohini Alles Challenge Trophy for the 5th consecutive year at the Navy Indoor Sports Complex, Welisara.
Gateway College was captained by Onadhi Samarakoon, and Musaeus College was captained by Sri Lanka youth cap Minagee Kankanige.
Hosts Gateway started the scoring, and both teams were equal at 4-4 midway through the quarter, but a 0-6 run from Musaeus saw them end the quarter 6-12.

Gateway scored 4 unanswered goals in the 2nd quarter to make 10-12. However, Musaeus got back into the game through their Skipper Minagee Kankanige, but Gateway somehow managed to close the gap to five goals at 16-21 (10-9).

After the Half Time break, Musaeus dominated the game to out-score Gateway 11-7 and extended the lead to 23-32. With the game all but over, Musaeus went on cruise mode to win the 4th quarter 8-10 as it ended 31-42.
In the U15 encounter, Musaeus College won a nail-biter 15-16 against Gateway College. The scores at the end of each quarter read 3-7, 7-9, 11-12 & 15-16.
