The 2016 edition of the Mercantile League Table Tennis Championship, worked off at the S. Thomas’ College Indoor Sports Complex on the 25th and 26th of November 2016, saw Seylan Bank Sports Club winning the Division ‘A’ Men’s title while MAS ‘A’ took home the Women’s ‘A’ Division silverware.

The tournament that had the participation of 46 teams comprising of both corporates and institutions and took place in 5 divisions as teams enlisted in the different groups according to their previous performance.
Seylan Bank Sports Club took the A Division title while coming in second place was Commercial Credit and Finance PLC. MAS ‘A’ took the Women’s title and in second place was Seylan Bank Sports Club.

The B division Men’s and Women’s titles went to Commercial Bank ‘A’ and MAS ‘B’ respectively.
