Maris Stella took on Mahanama in their inter school cricket encounter which commenced yesterday concluded today at Kadirana grounds Negombo.
Maris Stella scored 254 runs in 68 overs for 9. It was a superb batting perforamance by Prasansana Jayamanna who remained unbeaten on 98 runs. Shehan Chathuranga, Shanaka Srimal supported the team by scoring 35 and 36 runs. Nalaka De Silva 25 and Chathuranga Rajapakse 24 added stability to the innings.
Mahanama spinners mainly Chamara Silva, Dinuka Chamath and Dulanjana Senewirathne chipped in 2, 4 and 2 wickets respectively in favor of their team.
The day was ended making Maristella college victorians of the first innings.
