Sri Lankan veteran spinner Malinda Pushpakumara managed to claim his 800th First-Class wicket during the ongoing National Super League 4-day encounter between Kandy and Dambulla.
The 34-year old Pushpakumara debuted in first-class cricket for Kurunegala Youth Cricket Club in 2006. During his 16-year cricket career, Pushpakumara has managed to pick up 800 first-class wickets in 142 matches.
He became the sixth Sri Lankan to reach 800-wicket milestone in First-Class cricket as Muttiah Muralitharan (1374), Rangana Herath (1001), Dinuk Hettiarachchi (929), Dilruwan Perera (808) and Sajeewa Weerakoon (802) had go past the milestone previously.
