Irosh Samasuriya hit a timely century to make sure Moors SC consolidated on their first innings victory as they made 325 all-out in their second innings.

Tharindu Rathnayake was impressive with the ball for Moors, picking up 8 wickets in the match, while he also reached the magical 100 wicket mark in first class cricket in just 22 games.

CCC’s decision to declare on 480/5 in their first innings almost backfired as Badureliya were bowled out for 449 in their reply.

Salinda Ushan and overseas player for Badureliya SC Subramanium Anand hit centuries as they came ever so close to registering an improbable first innings win.

The most unexpected star with the ball for CCC was their skipper Ashan Priyanjan who’s more known for his batting. He captured five wickets while Lahiru Madhushanka chipped in with three.

Colts completed a stunning win when they registered a thrilling three wicket win after conceding a considerable 79 run lead to BRC in the first innings.

Suraj Randiv picked up a five wicket haul for BRC as they fought their hearts out to defend 202 runs, but useful contributions from the Colts middle order made sure they got over the line while Sangeeth Cooray top scored with 39.

Chilaw Marians stamped their authority on the title race when they thrashed Saracens by a massive 245 runs.

Saracens who were reeling on 92/5 when play began on the final day, folded up for 180 as Chilaw Marians skipper Malinda Pushpakumara added another six wickets to his already impressive tally for the season. He went past the 50 wicket mark for the current season while his closest contender Chanaka Komasaru has 44 wickets.
