Two games each in group ‘A’ and group ‘D’ were played in the SLC Major Club T20 Tournament 2024 at Bloomfield grounds and NCC grounds respectively on the 16th of May.
Chamika Karunaratne was the hero for NCC in their victory over Ragama CC, played at Bloomfield grounds. The game was a 13-over match due to bad weather conditions. Chamika Karunaratne scored an unbeaten 42 runs and also picked up 2 wickets with the ball. Chamika Gunasekara was also brilliant with the ball, picking up 4 wickets for just 9 runs.

Police SC recorded their first win this season by beating Nugegoda S & WC by 7 wickets. Kusal Perera showed his batting prowess by scoring a half-century in 18 deliveries. His innings included two fours and nine maximums. With the ball, Dilum Sudeera starred for Police SC by picking up 3 wickets.
Panadura SC secured a comfortable 4-wicket victory over Kandy Customs CC. Nimesh Vimukthi and Imthiaz Slaza starred with the ball, each claiming three wickets to lead Panadura SC to success.

Colts CC proved too strong for Kurunegala YCC in their fixture at NCC grounds today. Muditha Lakshan’s four-wicket haul and Dinesh Chandimal’s valuable 38 runs guided Colts CC to victory.
