Six matches of SLC Major Club Limited Over Tournament were worked off today at several venues across the island.
Air Force SC, Moors SC, Tamil Union, Navy SC, Army CC and Badureliya CC came out as winners as they defeated Kalutara Town Club, Kandy Customs SC, Chilaw Marians, Negombo CC, BRC and Galle CC respectively.
National capped all-rounder Asela Gunaratne shone with both bat and ball guiding Army CC to victory. Gunaratne made 42 runs off 44 balls with the bat while picking up 4 scalps for 28 runs with the ball.

Jeevan Mendis of Badureliya CC also displayed an all-round show against Galle CC scoring 38 runs off 57 balls while grabbing a 5-wicket haul for 45 runs with the ball.
Apart from these two, there were several players lit up the day with impressive performances. Pabasara Waduge (Moors SC), Hasitha Nirmal (Kandy Customs), Navod Paranavithana (Tamil Union), Angelo Jayasinghe (Negombo CC) and Chanaka Ruwansiri (Galle CC) stroked half-centuries for their respective teams.
