Five matches of the SLC Major Club Limited Over Tournament worked off today at several venues across the island.
Sebastianites C & AC, NCC, Colts CC, Chilaw Marians CC and Police SC registered wins in their respective encounters. Tharusha Fernando (75*) and Chamikara Edirisinghe (3/24) were the star performers of the Sebastianites’ victory over Galle CC.

NCC registered a thumping win over Navy SC thanks to the brilliant effort with the bat from Sahan Arachchige (62) and Ahan Wickramasinghe (60), and a match-winning spell from Ashain Daniel, who returned figures of 5 for 20.
Sri Lanka capped off spinner Akila Dananjaya showed his tricks with the ball, taking 4 for 21 as he powered the Colts CC to a comprehensive victory over Badureliya CC in a low-scoring encounter.
Ace Capital CC slipped to a 65-run defeat in the hands of Chilaw Marians CC in their encounter played at Katunayake. Pulina Tharanga made a good name for himself with the bat, scoring 55 runs while right-arm seamer Thikshila De Silva was the mainstay of Chilaw Marians, with 3 scalps for 24 runs.

Police SC chalked up a victory against Panadura SC as Maduranga Zoysa (51) and Asel Sigera (4/30) stole the limelight with noteworthy performances with bat and bowl.
