The Major Club Emerging Cricket Tournament: 2019 edition which is organized by Sri Lanka Cricket, commenced earlier this month with the participation of 24 clubs under 4 groups.
The group stage of the tournament will be played as 2-day matches and the top two teams of each group will qualify for the quarter finals. From the quarterfinals to the final, the matches will be played as 3-day encounters.
