Mahinda College secured a first innings win during their inter school cricket match against Maliyadeva College in an inter school cricket match concluded this evening.
Victorians who achieved 137 runs yesterday scored 186/4 runs today in the second innings in 48 over’s for a loss of 4 wickets. Eranga sangeeth was competent enough to protect his wicket scoring an unbeaten 50* runs while Theekshala De Silva notched up a half century (59) and Channa De Silva made 23 runs to push the runs to a respectable 2nd innings score. Kusal de Silva came good for the Kurunegala team and chipped in with 3 wickets for 37 runs.
Maliyadewa College with a target of 196 to get at 114 for 2 wickets in 31 over’s at the close of play. Chartith Rathnayake notched up a half century (56) while Minod Bhanuka contributed with 34 runs. Chamith Kalhara ran through with 2 wickets for 20 runs.
