Mahinda College Galle qualified to the all-important final in the U-13 age category today after winning first innings points against St.Sebastians College Moratuwa.
After having won the toss, Sebastians opted to bat first and they managed to score just 142 runs before being dismissed in just 45.2 overs. Chithry Fernando top scored for the Sebs with 41 runs while his partner Tyrel Baskaran made 37 runs to the total. Hiruna Mandila picked 3 wickets being the highest wicket taker of the innings.
In reply at the end of the day Mahinda College Galle finished up 50 for the runs for the loss of no wickets. Dhanujaya Indurawara blasted his way through to an unbeaten 41 runs in just 18.2 overs earning themselves a first innings points for their effort, getting through to the finals. Mahinda College will now play D.S.Senanayake College Colombo in the final which will be played in the following week to follow.
