The 4th annual Battle of the Golds cricket encounter between Old Boys of Mahanama College and Old Boys of D. S. Senanayake College, residing in New Zealand held on Sunday (26th March) at Auckland University Cricket Club Grounds.
Mahanama College managed to register a convincing 48-run win over D.S. Senanayake College in this 40-over encounter.

Batting first, Mahanama College posted 213/8 in the allotted 40 overs with Nihindu Wickramatunga producing a blistering knock to put his side on top at the end of the first essay in the game.
Wickramatunga stroked unbeaten 53 runs off 41 balls with 6 fours at a strike rate of 129.27. Lahiru Wijewardhana was the pick of the bowlers for D.S. Senanayake College as he grabbed 3 scalps for 39 runs.
