The 20-year-old pulled up early into Sri Lanka’s final training session ahead of the tournament opener against Namibia, clutching his hip. Further investigation has revealed that he has suffered a quadricep injury, which is likely to keep him out of the game for at least a few weeks.
Madushanka was one of Sri Lanka’s finds of the Asia Cup, the youngster leading a very inexperienced pace-bowling attack in the campaign.
