Four matches in the SLC Premier League Tier ‘B’ Tournament 2017/18 were conducted today around the island.
Lankan Cricket Club vs Air Force Sports Club
Lankan Cricket Club recorded an outright victory over Air Force in Tier B clash which was concluded today at Surrey Village, Maggona. Air Force resumed day three on 206 for 4 wickets and were bowled out for 320 runs. Udayawansha Parakrama scored a brilliant century for Air Force while Kasun Abeyrathne (64) and Lakshan Fernando (52) contributed with half tons. Lankan Cricket Club was set a target of 163 which they chased down in 35.5 overs with 7 wickets to spare. Maduranga Soyza (69*) and Chanaka Ruwansiri (33*) guided Lankans to an easy victory.

Navy Sports Club vs Police Sports Club
The Tier B contest between Navy Sports Club and Police Sports Club ended in a draw at De Soyza Grounds, Moratuwa. Police Sports Club resumed day three on 160 for 3 and went onto post 331 runs all out for their first innings. Dinusha Fernando top scored for Police with 71 runs while Gidor Yadev contributed with a valuable half century. At stumps on day three, Navy managed to score 159 runs for 5 wickets in their second innings.

Panadura Sports Club vs Kalutara Town Club
The rivalry clash between Panadura Sports Club and Kalutara Town Club ended in a draw at Bandaragama Public Grounds. After getting a strong start to their first innings yesterday, the Kalutara team was bowled out for 280 runs today. Shammera Sanadamal was brilliant with the bat as he managed to score 102 runs for Kalutara. Niushan Nonis also contributed with valuable 57 runs. Panadura struggled in their second innings as they only posted 88 runs for 5 wickets at stumps on day three.

Negombo Cricket Club vs Galle Cricket Club
Tier B clash between Negombo Cricket Club and Galle Cricket Club also ended in a draw at Galle International Cricket Stadium. The hosts resumed day three on 134 runs for 5 wickets but only managed to add another 43 runs for the remaining 5 wickets. Umege Chathuranga starred with the ball for Negombo as he picked up 6 for 56 runs. Negombo Cricket Club showed an improved batting performance in the second innings as they declared their innings at 234 for 3. Ravindra Karunarathna scored a magnificent century for Negombo while Akeel Inham contributed with a half-ton. Galle Cricket Club had to chase down 217 runs to win the match but they could only score 68 for no wicket as umpires called stumps on day three.
