Lumbini College Junior Parents Cricket Association organized the biggest Schools T20 Cricket Tournament from 31stJanuary to 5th February at 03 venues in Colombo – the Malay Cricket Club, Cooray Ground Wellawatta and Piliyandala Public Ground.
The event featured 166 players in the Under 13 & Under 15 age groups, divided into 6 teams each.
Lumba Falcons won the Under 15 title while Lumba Super XI was victorious in the Under 13 Final.
In the U15 Tournament, Lumba Falcons’ Adeesha Maxwell smashed 533 runs to finish as the highest run getter and was named Best Batsman, Best Fielder & Man of the Series as well. Lumba Falcons’ off spinner Lonitha Methmal was the highest wicket taker with 12 scalps and won the Best Bowler award.
In the U13 Tournament, the Best Batsman, Best Bowler and Best Fielder awards were picked up by Dineth Akash (Lumba Falcons), Tharusha Lutes (Lumba Falcons) and Sahan Rasanjana (Lumba Riders), respectively. Lumba Super XI’s Hevon Nethmira was adjudged Man of the Series thanks to his brilliant all-round performances.
