St. Sebastians College hosted St. Benadicts College in Moratuwa in an inter-school cricket fixture today.
The Sebastian’s batting first struggled to find runs as they were bowled out for 139 runs in 70 over’s. Luke Jayadeva stole the show with a swashbuckling 66 runs which included four sixes and four fours. Sangeeth Cooray was the only other notable contributor scoring 20 runs for the home side.
For the Ben’s team Yohan Soyza took honors with the ball claiming four wickets for 44 runs. T. Jayasanka also played his part with the ball capturing 3 wickets for 25 runs.
St. Benadict’s in their first innings at stumps were were on 41 runs for the of one wicket. Sri Jayalath top scored on day one with 24.
