Here’s a brief look into few matches which took place in SLC Tier B Premier League today.
Lankan CC vs Kurunegala YCC
Kurunegala YCC were in a spot of bother at stumps on day 2 at 3 down for 23 runs following on in their second innings in Kurunegala. Day 3 started off with Kurunegala YCC’s first innings. The home side were struggling at 59 for 3 when Hashan Prabath and Ruwantha Ekanayake got together and built a good partnership. Hashan top scored with 76 while Ruwantha scored a valuable cameo of 26. Wickets kept tumbling but thanks to captain’s knock of 40 runs by Anurudda Rajapaksha helped Kurunegala YCC post 253 all out for their first innings. Chanaka Ruwansiri ended with top figures of 4 for 59 while all-rounders Rajeewa Weerasinghe and Navin Kavikara chipped in with 3 wickets each.
With no hesitation, Lankans asked the home side to follow on and they were struggling at 23 for 3 at stumps on day 2.

Kalutara PCC vs SL Ports Authority
After their horrible display in their first innings, Kalutara showed more fight in the second innings at Mattegoda. Led by Pathum Nissanka’s unbeaten knock of 83, Kalutara were 170 for 3 at stumps on Day 2 still trailing by 181 runs.
Early on in the day, SLPA resumed play with 286 on board for the loss of 3 wickets. Ishan Rangana went on to make a century while Prashan Wickramasinghe scored a valuble 80 down the order. The pair put on 143 for the 6th wicket which helped them post 400 for 7 in 93 overs before they decided to declare the innings.

Panadura SC vs Navy SC
The Sailors yet again crumbled in their second innings as they were given a target of 432 by Panadura SC at Welisara. They were 10 for 2 in 7 overs at stumps in their second innings and it was Gayan Sirisoma who took those two wickets to complete a ten-for in the match. Navy resumed play with 97 on board for the loss of 5 wickets. They could only add 28 as Sirisoma bagged 8 wickets for just 46 runs. Dinushka Malan scored a fighting half century for the Sailors.
Panadura in reply posted 288 for 8 in their second innings with half centuries from Mishen Silva and Aruna Dharmasena. Madura Madushanka took 3 for 46 for the Sailors.

Police SC vs Air Force SC
Police edged ahead at stumps on Day 2 as Air Force lost an early wicket in their second innings at Hambanthota. Early on in the day Police were bowled out for 184 runs in 87.1 overs. Samitha Dushantha and Suwanji Madanayake added 72 for the 6th wicket which helped Police edge past the Airmen in their first innings. Suwanji scored 31 while Samitha top scored with fighting 82. Shohan Rangika bagged 3 for 36 for Air Force.
On Day 1, Air Force were cleaned up for 168 in 76.2 overs. Manjula Jayawardane ended with top figures of 4 for 47 for the Cops. Buddika Sandaruwan was the top scorer for Airforce with 43 runs.
