The player draft for the inaugural Lanka T10 Super League was held yesterday (10th November) at the ITC Ratnadipa Hotel in Colombo. The six franchise teams managed to finalize their squads for the tournament which will get underway on the 12th December, 2024.
The six franchise teams had announced their pre-drafted players ahead of the player draft where every team picked 6 players each.

Sri Lanka white-ball skipper Charith Asalanka was the first pick of the draft held today where Jaffna Titans drafted him as the Category ‘A’ Sri Lanka player in the first round.

The opening batter Pathum Nissanka went to Kandy Bolts while Sri Lanka’s run-machine in all formats – Kamindu Mendis was drafted by Colombo Jaguars in the Category ‘A’.
Jaffna Titans managed to get the services of Pakistan pacer Mohammad Amir and England left-arm seamer Tymal Mills was drafted by Colombo Jaguars in the Category ‘A’.
In the Category B, two of Sri Lanka’s premier white-ball spinners Jeffrey Vandersay (Galle Marvels) and Dunith Wellalage (Jaffna Titans) were drafted.

Nuwara Eliya Kings managed to bag Hong Kong Sixes 2024 winning captain Lahiru Madushanka while Sandun Weerakkody and Dhananjaya Lakshan who featured in that champion Sri Lankan side were drafted by Galle Marvels and Hambantota Bangla Tigers respectively.
