After 2 days of heavy rains the 2nd Unofficial Test between Sri Lanka ‘A’ and Bangladesh ‘A’ saw a late start today at the Zahur Ahmed Chowdhury Stadium, Chittagong. Though today was a rain-less day the umpires had to keep on hold the start due to a messy outfield. Eventually a very short play of 15 overs took place to officially kick start the game.

Sri Lanka ‘A’ Captain Dimuth Karunaratne won the toss and elected to bat first. The tourists fielded a XI which had 2 changes from the XI which played the previous game. Seamers Vishwa Fernando and Dilesh Gunaratne replaced spinner Prabath Jayasuriya and seamer Shehan Madushanka.

The usual pair of Karunaratne and Lahiru Milantha opened for the Lankans. Karunaratne after scoring a 150+ in his previous innings failed to score big this time. He was caught off a Shoriful Islam delivery when his score was just 9.

On the other end youngster Lahiru Milantha made the most of the short play scoring an almost run-a-ball 42. He hit 6 boundaries during his unbeaten inning. Lahiru Thirimanne (1) was the other unbeaten batsman at stumps.
