Kavindu Perera’s excellent knock of 74 helped KDU defeat U19 International Schools’ Champions, Lyceum International School by 48 runs in the first quarter-final match.
After opting to bat first, KDU posted 162 for 9 from their allotted 20 overs. Perera blasted 74 off 49 balls while Gihan De Zoysa and Abinesh Ravichandran picked up 2 wickets each for the lads from Wattala. In their chase of 163, Lyceum managed only 114 for the loss of 8 wickets.

Left-handed batsman Nipuna Gamage’s unbeaten 74 helped Saegis crush ACBT by 126 runs in the second quarter-final match.
Saegis Campus situated in Nugegoda, making their debut in Red Bull Campus Cricket Tournament, posted 233 for the loss of just 5 wickets. Former Thomian, Gamage slammed 74 from just 45 balls while Chilaw Marians CC all-rounder and former Mahinda College player Thikshila De Silva clobbered 46 off 22 deliveries. Off-spinner Udara Ranasinghe grabbed 2 wickets.
ACBT had no chance of chasing down the target as they managed only 107. Right-handed Ashane Amugoda top-scored with an unbeaten 29 while left-arm fast-bowler Ruvinda Shamen was the most destructive bowler taking 2 wickets conceding only 6 runs.

In the repeat of the 2016 under 19 schools’ T20 final, reigning champions St. Peter’s College defeated St. Aloysius’ College by 58 runs in the third quarter-final.
Skipper Hashan Wanasekara slammed 5 sixes and 6 fours during his excellent 53-ball 81 to help St. Peter’s post a commendable 190 on the board. In reply, St. Aloysius’ College from Galle mustered 132 for the loss of 8 wickets. Gimhan Ashirwada made an unbeaten 53 for the boys from Galle while fast-bowler Santhush Gunathilake captured 4 wickets for the winners.

Title favourites, BMS recorded yet another massive victory of 157 runs to book their place in the semi-finals beating SLIIT in the fourth quarter-final.
Sri Lanka Test cap, Niroshan Dickwella smashed a 40-ball 88 which included 12 fours and 4 sixes to help BMS post a mammoth 290 from their allotted 20 overs. Ranitha Liyanarchchi made 44 off 14 balls while Sri Lanka ODI cap, Shehan Jayasuriya made 38. In reply, SLIIT made only 133 with useful contributions from Heshan Rodrigo and Yasiru Kularathne. Off-spinner Geshan Wimaladharama captured 3 scalps for just 4 runs.
