Sri Lanka Test discard and one drop SSC batsman Kaushal Silva renounced himself when he struck a superb unbeaten 150 against Moors SC on the opening day of week two matches in the SLC Premier League Tournament – Super Eight stage on Thursday.
SSC vs Moors
After opting to bat first, SSC amassed 325 for 3 against Moors SC at Bloomfield grounds. The diminutive right-hander came to the crease in the second over and played out 224 balls for his 150. Apart of Silva’s 150, Danushka Gunathilaka and Kavindu Kulasekara made 70s.

Tamil Union vs NCC
Kithruwan Vithanage and Jeewan Mendis stroked half-centuries as Tamil Union posted 258 for 5 at stumps against the strong NCC attack at R. Premadasa Stadium.

Left-armers Dilesh Gunarathne and Sachith Pathirana shared 7 wickets as CCC dismissed Galle to 344 on day one at Colts grounds. The team from Galle was propelled by the half-centuries of Rumesh Buddhika, Chamara Silva, Harsha Vithana. CCC were in dire straits at stumps as they were four down for 36.
