ThePapare.com learns that Adrian Ferris has replaced Neile Foote as Head Coach of Kandy SC rugby. This decision comes after the defeat against Havelocks SC in the first round of the Dialog Rugby League.
Speaking to ThePapare.com Mr. Lasantha Wijesuriya who is part of the management at Kandy SC explained that the issue with Neile Foote was more a technical problem since there was a lack of responsibility in terms of coaching since Mr. Foote is also involved with Trinity College.
Mr. Lasantha believes that a coach should be fully committed when handling a high ranking club like Kandy SC and due to Mr. Foote’s other commitments it was difficult to manage, and thus both parties decided to part ways.
New Zealander Adrian Ferris who was brought into to support Foote will take over reins as Head Coach of Kandy SC and will look to guide his team in the second round to League glory.
Subsequently, ThePapare.com contacted Mr Foote who says he is prohibited from speaking on the subject.
