Kandy Sports Club, the defending Champions is one of two undefeated teams alongside CR & FC who have yet to taste defeat in the Nippon Paint Rugby League 2023/24 after two weeks of action.

CR & FC were made to work against the Police, but the Army crumbled, as the Reds took on their 2nd Forces’ team in two weeks.

Nothing went the way of Air Force in their opener but a comeback win showed the views the level of depletion the Sailors have gone into.

The two sides lock horns, kicking off week 3, the penultimate weekend of Rugby before the festive break.

The Sailors go head to head with rivals CH & FC in what seems to be a grudge game.

Plenty of Navy stars have jumped ship in search of greener pastures, leaving the once champion in great distress.

CH on the other hand, still takes their laid-back approach but things seem to be picking up faster with Martis at the helm.

Havelocks are facing a tough start as Sanath Martis returned to the Park, and threw a spanner in the works, as CH & FC stormed to their first win.

Army, on the other hand, entered the frey with two defeats on their back as pressure seemed to mount on Shamlie Nawaz and co.

The army is in desperate need of a win, but Havelocks would like to get back into winning ways.

Holders Kandy showed early season jitters as they were troubled by CH & FC in the season opener, however, Kandy SC held their nerve, getting off to a winning start.

On their travels to Panagoda, the Army brought about a second scare in as many weeks, but this time, the Champions bounced back in champion fashion.

Week three sees the Police travel up to Nittawela as the Cop eye a famous victory.
