Young Sri Lankan batter Kamil Mishara who was expected to be part of Sri Lanka ODI squad to face Zimbabwe, has tested positive for Covid-19.
The 20-year-old Mishara is the third Sri Lankan player to miss out on the upcoming series due to Covid-19 after the opening batter Avishka Fernando and middle order batter Janith Liyanage tested positive for Covid-19 last week.

Mishara has been put into quarantine under the health guidelines of the medical authorities. The Sri Lanka ODI squad is currently in a hotel in Kandy preparing for the series.

The 3-match ODI series, which is part of the ICC Cricket World Cup Super League, will commence on 16th January. All matches will be played at the Pallekele International Cricket Stadium.
