Sri Lankan speedster Matheesha Pathirana has been roped in by Joburg Super Kings for the SA20 League 2025.
A day after the auction, the franchise has announced that Pathirana has been picked as their wildcard player. Pathirana has had success with Chennai Super Kings in the IPL, but this will be his first time at the SA20.
Apart from Pathirana, two more Sri Lankans are set to feature in the upcoming season of SA20 League. They are Maheesh Theekshana (Joburg Super Kings) and Nuwan Thushara (MI Cape Town).
