Sri Lanka Cricket head of coaching, Jerome Jayaratne has been appointed as the interim head coach of the Sri Lanka national cricket team for the upcoming home series against West Indies.
Jayaratne’s appointment came four days after Marvan Atapattu resigned from his post last week.
Jayaratne is renowned as a strategic expert and he will act as the head coach until the Sri Lanka Cricket administration hunts for a full-time coach for a long period.
49-year old Jayaratne has represented 22 first-class matches for CCC.
