Sri Lankan Rower Mahesh Jayakody participated in the Men’s PR1 Single Sculls Repechage at the Tokyo Paralympics earlier today (28).
Jayakody finished with a timing of 11:21.31 to finish 5th in the race.
He was unable to qualify for the A Final (where the medals for the event will be decided) but will race in the B Final tomorrow (29).
Great Britain’s Benjamin Pritchard took first place in Jayakody’s Repechage race, with a time of 9:14.61 while Javier Reja of Spain finished 2nd.
