All-rounder James Faulkner will miss Australia’s tour of England and Ireland after being charged with drink-driving.
The 25-year-old, who is playing for Lancashire, was arrested and bailed on 2 July and will appear in court in Manchester later this month.
Cricket Australia said he will not be considered for the touring squad that will be announced next month.
Faulkner, who is not part of the 17-man Ashes squad, accepted the punishment and will avoid a formal hearing.
He received four suspension points, which equates to four limited-overs fixtures that he was likely to have been selected for.
After the Ashes, Australia will travel to Belfast to face Ireland on 27 August before returning to England for one T20 international and five one-day matches.
Once Faulkner has served his suspension, he could be considered for selection again as an injury replacement.
