The match that was played at CR&FC saw Lumbini College get a walk over fromAsoka MV Colombo, as the Asoka MV team was not present for the game. The second match saw Prince of Wales College narrowly beat D.S. Senanayake College by two points to secure a hard earned victory.
Prince of Wales’ 12 (2T, 1C) beat D.S. Senanayake College 10 (2T). The third and final match held at CR&FC saw St. Peter’s College thump helpless Carey College by a huge margin of 66 points.
St. Peter’s College 66 (10T, 8C) beat Carey College 00. The games held at Thurstan College grounds witnessed Lalith Athulathmudali College score four tries past lacklustre Ananda College.
Lalith Athulathmudali College 26 (4T, 3C) beat Ananda College 00. Thurstan College with the help of the home support beat Royal College Panadura by 21 points to secure a sensational win.
Thurstan College 26 (4T, 3C) beat Royal College Panadura 05 (1T). The sixth and final game of the day saw St. Thomas College stamp their authority on the tournaments as they beat St. Benedict’s College by a massive 77 run margin.
