Hosts British School Colombo won the jump ball but failed to capitalize on the start, managing to score only three points for the entire quarter. The Visitors coming off a high, dominated the maiden quarter in every aspect as put on brilliant attack scoring nine points to lead the game.
Even though they settled into the game early they could not continue their form into the second quarter and ended up scoring only two points for the entire ten minutes. As they lost touch in every department their defense was penetrated by the home lads with BSC scoring nine points in the quarter leading the game by a point at half time.
The home lads continued their dominance in the game as they led the game at the end of the third quarter as well. The factor that differentiated the sides was that the lads from British School played off the basic strategies without doing anything out of the ordinary whereas the visitors looked for big plays. The hosts added another seven points to the total as the visitors only managed three.
The final six hundred seconds is always a close tussle in every match but the fate of this game was already sealed by the hosts. They scored eight points in total during the final quarter. The visitors did score six points in reply but the two low scoring quarters meant that they had too much of a deficit to make up.

Colombo International School vs Elizabeth Moir Senior School
Colombo International School stepped into the game as favorites and dominated from the blow of the whistle. CISC scored eleven points in the maiden quarter in reply to the three points of their counter-parts. Passing the ball wide across the court they shifted gears as their opponents failed to settle into the game.
Carrying their form into the second quarter they added another eight points to the total as they pushed the rivals out of their comfort zone. The lads from Elizabeth Moir, overwhelmed by pressure, continued to fail in every possession as they only scored three points in the entire quarter. The CISC lads led the game by more than ten points at half time.
CISC stepping into the third quarter without much pressure and played breathtaking minutes of basketball as they continued to hold the fort. Penetrating into the defense they managed to draw fouls and convert them into points at the free throw line. Even though the lads from Elizabeth Moir did score nine points in reply to the eight of CISC their performance in the first and second quarters continued to haunt them.
The final six hundred seconds was not a tough task for the lads from CISC as they added five more points to their scoreand sealed the victory.
