The 24-year old hard-hitting SSC batsman, Dasun Shanaka has strengthen his comeback to the Sri Lanka T20 squad when he slammed his second Premier T20 century on Tuesday against Saracens SC in the AIA Premier T20 Tournament 2015/16.
After thrashing 131 off 48 balls last week against Galle CC, Shanaka clobbered 123 in 46 balls with a record of 16 sixes, most number of sixes in a T20 innings. Shanaka’s 16 sixes are also the joint second-highest by any batsman, equaling Graham Napier. West Indies’ Chris Gayle has the record with 17 sixes in his innings of 175 not out for Royal Challengers Bangalore in IPL 2013.
SSC vs Saracens
Dasun Shanaka’s excellent knock helped SSC defeat Saracens by a mammoth 123 runs at Colts grounds.
Apart of Dasun’s blistering knock, Kavindu Kulasekara made 60 off 33 balls as SSC posted 251 for wickets in their overs. Saracens managed only 128 all out with four bowlers claiming 2 wickets apiece.

Opener Thikshila De Silva pummeled 50 off 15 balls as Chilaw Marians registered a 23-run win over CCC at Colts grounds.
The 22-year old left-hander smothered 6 sixes and 5 fours during his 19-ball 59 which set up a massive 228/9 for the team from Chilaw. Saliya Saman hammered 75 off 33 balls as well. In reply, CCC ended on 205 for 6 in their 20 overs despite excellent half-tons by Lasith Abeyrathne and Roshan Anurudda.

NCC continued their dominance in the tournament beating Galle CC by 6 wickets at P. Sara Oval grounds.

Moors vs Ragama
Skipper Dilhara Lokuhettige starred for Moors SC as they beat Ragama CC by 4 wickets in a close game at P. Sara Oval grounds.
Incidentally, this is the first victory for Moors in the current tournament as they lost both their previous matches. Lokuhettige’s valiant 36-ball 48 with 4 fours and 2 sixes led the chase for Moors as they successfully chased down Ragama’s score of 146.

The defending champions, Badureliya SC suffered second defeat as Tamil Union recorded a convincing 9-wicket win at NCC grounds.
Sri Lanka T20 player, Dhananjaya De Silva smashed 81 in 34 balls with 6 fours and 6 sixes as Tamil Union chased down Badureliya’s score of 131 with 57 balls to spare.
