Hatton National Bank – A won the inaugural Sri Lankasports.com Inter-Bank Netball Championship 2013 which concluded at St Joseph’s College Indoor Stadium on.
They outclassed Nations Trust Bank in the final by 57 points to 19.
Hatton National Bank B team finished third by beating Commercial Bank by 13 points to 11.
Pabasara Gunasekera of Hatton National Bank A took the best player award.
Hatton National Bank A secured their position in the Grand final after beating Commercial Bank by 27 points to 6 in the first semi-final and Nations Trust Bank beat Hatton National Bank B in a thrilling second semi-final by 17 points to 14.
Eleven prestigious banks in Sri Lanka took part in this Inter Bank Netball Championship 2013 which was organized by Sri Lanka’s first sports website – Sri Lankasports.com for the first time.
Ranjani Jayakody, Director General of Sports graced the occasion as the chief guest and Victoria Lakshmi, President of the Netball Federation of Sri Lanka was also present.
