The thirty eighth Mercantile Hockey Seven`s Championships was concluded yesterday at Oval grounds Colombo when HNB won the A Division Trophy beating Sampath Bank at full time when the score board read 5-0.
The A division Finals were played between HNB and Sampath Bank when HNB etched the winning line comfortably scoring five goals to zero. M.Nuwan from HNB won the best player award of the A division.
The awards and results of the rest of the divisions are as follows;
“B” division for d Singer trophy – HSBC beat AIA 1-0
“C” division for d Lifeboy trophy – Bevita Co beat Seylan bank ‘B’ 2-0
“D” division for d Edmond J Cooray trophy – Nations Trust bank beat AWD Group 3-1
“E” division for d Cold Stores trophy- WSO2 beat Mas’B’ 2-1

Dennis De Rozairo trophy for Fair Play won by – Sampath bank
Best Player Awards
