Holy Family Convert, Kurunegala (HFC) won the schools netball championship title when they won two out of the three age group finals of the Milo Sri Lanka Schools Netball Championship worked off at D. A. Rajapaksa Stadium, Beliata, yesterday.
HFC won the championships in the Under-14 and 16 age categories and finished runners-up in the Under-18 age group. The Under-18 team lost the final to Kalutara BMV 20 points to 15 but they had enough to celebrate after their junior teams came up with flying colours to beat Visakha Vidyalaya and Presbytarian Girls School, Dehiwela in the Under-14 and Under-16 finals respectively.
The event was conducted by the Sri Lanka Schools Netball Association with Nestle Lanka PLC sponsoring the event for the 24th successive year.
