Light have been finally switched on regarding the outcome of the Havelocks v Hambanthota Sharks game which was called off earlier this week due to a technical issue with the flood lights at the Havelock Stadium.
Confusion arose when the ground lights came back on five minutes after the match was called off, as the Sharks players had already warmed down and changed into their loose clothes, having made up their mind to get back home.
Speaking to ThePapare.com on behalf of the SLRFU Mr. Rohan Gunaratne explained that a rescheduled date for the game will be notified shortly once the Tournament Director who is currently not in the country returns and addresses the issue.
It is important to note that this will not have any effect on the points table and that the alotted points will be eventually awarded once the rescheduled game is complete.
