With the ICC Women’s T20 World Cup just days away, ICC has named the remaining 10 extraordinary players in their first edition of 100% Cricket Superstars.
The ICC announced the first five players selected as 100% Cricket Superstars ahead of a historic moment for women’s cricket during the Commonwealth Games in Birmingham last year.

Sophie Ecclestone (England), Amelia Kerr (New Zealand), Hayley Matthews (West Indies), Shafali Verma (India) and Laura Wolvaardt (South Africa) were the first crop of what is now a 100% Cricket Superstars squad that fans can pick from to decide on their favourite XI.
Fatima Sana (Pakistan), Smriti Mandhana (India), Ashleigh Gardner (Australia), Sophia Dunkley (England), and Gaby Lewis (Ireland) followed in their footsteps and the third release of star players to watch saw Nigar Sultana (Bangladesh), Nattakan Chantam (Thailand), Jemimah Rodrigues (India), Alana King (Australia) and Lara Goodall (South Africa) added to the list.
So without further ado, the next 10 superstars to join this illustrious squad, most of whom will be all aiming to make a big impact during the upcoming ICC Women’s T20 World Cup 2023 in South Africa are:
Sarah Glenn – England’s spin wizard
At the young age of 23, England’s Sarah Glenn has already established herself as one of the most wily spinners in the shorter formats of the women’s game.
Making her international debut in 2019, Glenn has become a key part of England’s setup, especially in the T20 format. In 41 matches, she has scalped 48 wickets at an average of 17.08 and a miserly economy of 6.04. She has also played nine ODIs, picking up 12 wickets.
But it is the T20 format where she has truly excelled, with her leg-breaks and clever variations bamboozling the batters. As Glenn becomes even better with more experience, she could well turn out to be one of the bowlers of the tournament at the T20 World Cup in South Africa.
Ayesha Naseem – Pakistan’s impact player with the bat
At only 18, Ayesha Naseem has become a vital cog in Pakistan’s T20I setup, often being used as their impact player in the middle order.
With versatility way beyond her age, Naseem has batted in many different positions in the Pakistan middle-order and has yet managed to leave an impression.
Making her T20I debut in 2020, Naseem has scored 320 runs in 28 matches, striking at an impressive 122.60.
The upcoming T20 World Cup in South Africa may well be a tournament where she becomes a household name.
Amy Hunter – Ireland’s dashing batter
Despite being only 17, Amy Hunter has established herself as one of the first names on Ireland’s teamsheets in the shortest format.
At the top of the order, she is fast producing one of the most productive opening partnerships in T20I cricket alongside another 100% Cricket Superstar, Gaby Lewis.
Having made her international debut in 2021, Hunter has been impressive in both ODI and T20I cricket. She has scored 216 runs in 13 matches at 21.60 in the shortest format, while aggregating 294 runs in 11 games in 50-over cricket at 32.66.
The T20 World Cup in South Africa will provide exactly the kind of grand stage where her talent comes to the fore.
Harshitha Madavi – Sri Lanka’s rock with the bat
The 24-year-old left-handed batter has quickly become Sri Lanka’s anchor, holding their batting order together whenever things get tricky.
Solid technically who loves when things get tough, Madavi is a batter who relishes challenging conditions.
Madavi has played 18 ODIs and 33 T20Is and has been a consistent aggregator of runs across both formats. She has 508 runs in T20Is and 419 in ODIs, with three 50+ scores in international cricket.
If Sri Lanka are to perform well at the T20 World Cup, Madavi will have to be at her best during the marquee tournament in South Africa.
Tahlia McGrath – Australia’s star all-rounder
Tahlia McGrath has quickly established herself as a cornerstone and one of the most important players in a dominant Australian setup. Destructive with the bat and effective with the ball, the all-rounder has established herself as one of the best players in the world and a leader in Australia’s side.
Her record across all the formats is simply staggering. In T20Is, she has played 21 matches, scoring 549 runs at 68.62 while striking at 140.76 while also picking up 13 wickets. She has also played 22 ODIs and three Test matches, scoring 357 and 161 runs respectively. She has also picked up five wickets in Tests and 17 scalps in ODIs.
Since her international debut in 2016, the 27-year-old has gradually become one of the premier all-rounders in world cricket and will hope to make a vital contribution during the T20 World Cup in South Africa, as Australia will look to add another trophy to her cabinet.
Richa Ghosh – India’s rising stroke maker
The young 19-year-old wicketkeeper-batter hits a long ball and is slowly growing into the role of a finisher in the Indian squad. Ghosh’s six-hitting prowess is there for all to see and she is also a capable hand behind the stumps.
Ghosh made her international debut in 2020 and has already gained a decent amount of experience at the international level. She has played 17 ODIs and 30 T20Is, scoring 311 and 427 runs respectively. Ghosh has impressed one and all with her ability to score quick runs in the shortest format, striking at 134.27.
Ghosh was part of India’s victorious squad at the ICC U19 Women’s T20 World Cup and will have the chance to make a massive impact at the 2023 ICC Women’s T20 World Cup in South Africa.
Charlie Dean – A star in the making
After her impressive displays in The Hundred, Charlie Dean was picked in the England ODI squad and hasn’t looked back ever since then. Mature beyond her years, Dean has made a massive impression due to her composure and ability to keep her cool in tense situations.
A right-arm off-spinner who bowls economically, Dean is also a handy contributor with the bat lower down the order. In a career in its infancy, the 22-year-old is already making waves in international cricket with her sizzling performances.
Dean has played 22 ODIs, five T20Is and one Test, picking up 39, 11 and two wickets respectively. Apart from her wicket-taking ability, she also stems the flow of runs, with an economy of 5.90 in T20Is.
She has also made some handy contributions with the bat and the T20 World Cup in South Africa will be the perfect stage for her to showcase her skills.
Deepti Sharma – A consistent performer
At only 25, Deepti Sharma is already a veteran of women’s cricket, having played more than 150 international matches across all formats. Deepti is the player who lends balance to the Indian side, with her vital contributions with both bat and ball.
Deepti has already proven to be a match-winner for India in limited-overs cricket and a player who skipper Harmanpreet Kaur heavily relies on in tense situations.
Deepti has a fantastic record with both bat and ball in all the three formats. She has played two Test matches, scoring 152 runs at 76 and picking up five wickets. In 80 ODIs, she has aggregated 1891 runs and scalped 91 wickets. In the shortest format, Deepti has 86 caps with 898 runs and 95 wickets to her name.
A player who delivers more often than not, she will have to be her absolute best if India are to win their first ICC Women’s T20 World Cup title in South Africa.
Alice Capsey – An England star in the making
Big things have been expected from Alice Capsey since a very young age and in a brief career so far, she has already shown glimpses of her extraordinary talents.
Still only 18, Capsey made her international debut last year and England have high hopes from her, with many expecting her to become a cornerstone of their batting order for years to come.
Capsey has played four ODIs, scoring 80 runs but it is in the shortest format where she has made a bigger impact. Capsey has scored 234 runs in 10 T20Is, averaging an impressive 33.42 and striking at 127.86.
She is also a handy part-time bowler and her skillsets will come handy for England during the T20 World Cup in South Africa.
Darcie Brown – An emerging pace starlet
One of the most exciting pace bowling talents in world cricket, Brown has already shown glimpses that she could dominate world cricket for years to come. Bowling with fiery pace mixed in with clever variations, Brown has already established herself as the frontline pacer in the Australian side where competition is fierce.
Still 19, Brown made her international debut in 2021 and has played for Australia in all three formats. Making an excellent start to her international career, Brown has scalped two wickets from as many Test matches, 20 in 12 ODIs and 13 in 15 T20Is.
She will take the new ball for Australia during the T20 World Cup in South Africa and skipper Meg Lanning will expect her to deliver some early inroads for her side.
