Haroom Aslam ended the season after a nail-biting win over K. Danushan in the grand finale of the Boys’ Gold Division in the P&S Sri Lanka Junior Golf Championship 2022.
It was indeed a tense battle between the two boys – Haroon was 3 up dormie playing the 16th hole, but Danushan fought back to win the 16th with a Birdie under pressure. However, Haroon kept his cool and halved the 17th and clinched the title in the Gold Division.
Kaya Daluwatte was pronounced Champion in the Girls’ Gold Division after a great display of golf against the long ranger Sherin Balasuriya. Reshan Algama defeated Jacob Norton quite easily 5 & 3, to annex the Silver Division of the Junior Golf Championship.

Thejas Rathis Kanth locked the title in the Boys’ Bronze Division defeating Saqeeb Zuhar, whilst Yuvan Rathis Kanth clinched the championship title in the Copper Division, defeating Danik Daluwatte.
The series of the 5 final games were followed by the prize distribution. Prizes were distributed by the family members of the well-known sports icon Rukmini Kodagoda.
