Colombo district Table Tennis championship ended successfully 26th of January 2013 .This championship was organized by the old boys association of Lalith Athulathmudali College, Mt.Lavinia .
Many leading schools in Colombo participated in this championship which was also held at the Lalith Athulathmudali college indoor stadium Mt.Lavinia. The competition for under 8 boys and girls was another special feature of the championship.
Hansani Piyumila of Anula vidyalaya Nugegoda became the winner of the under 15 Girls single event and also was a key player who became the champion at the women’s single open event showing a greater future in the sport. Therefore she was awarded Most outstanding player award for girls. Sandesh Nissanka of Ananda College Colombo became the winner of the under 18 boys event while becoming the runner up at the men’s single open event. He was awarded the most outstanding player for boys as he showed a tremendous table tennis performance at the championship.

Under 08 Boy’s Singles: Senura Dilanka Silva of Isipathana College, Colombo beat Thumal Adikary of Royal College, Colombo – 11/01, 11/01.
Under 10 Girl’s Singles: Ayla Chitty of Ladies College, Colombo beat Ushiri Perera of Girls High School, Mt Lavinia – 08/11, 11/07, 11/07.
Under 10 Boy’s Singles : Thisas Ranchagoda of Royal College, Colombo beat Chanupa Gunasena of Ananda College, Colombo – 14/12, 11/04.
Under 12 Girl’s Singles : Senuri Perera of Anula Vidyalaya, Nugegoda beat Nilani Herath of Girls High School, Mt Lavinia 10/12,11/08,11/08.
Under 12 Boy’s Singles : Dewmith Weerasena of Lyceum International School, Nugegoda beat Thisas Ranchagoda of Royal College, Colombo – 11/09, 11/02.
