With less than 24 hours to go for the much anticipated Asia Rugby Sevens series showdown that is scheduled to kick off tomorrow at the Racecourse grounds in Colombo, Jason Dissanayake has been ruled out due to a hamstring injury that occurred during practice.
Jason’s injury comes in at a critical time where the Tuskers will be needing his services the most as they try to get their hands on a cup title in front of their home crowd. Jason was initially ruled out of the second leg that was held in South Korea due to a concussion injury and was all set to make his comeback in the home leg.
Meanwhile former Isipathana player Hirantha Perera has been named as his replacement. Hirantha did represent the first and the second leg of the series but was omitted in the squad which was selected on Monday
The 1st leg will kick off tomorrow at the Racecourse grounds from 11am.
