Science College Rugby, who are known to be the dark horses of Sri Lankan School Rugby arena is already set to deliver some magic in this season under the incumbent captain. The school who produced magnificent legends like Sanjeewa Jayasinghe, is well set to end the hoodoo and to taste a league championship.
The first XV team will be led by the stylish kicker and the flyhalf, Dilruwan Perera. Last year’s vice captain has already proven his leadership and decision making skills specially under the tense and crucial situations of the game.

The versatile player Sithara Madusanka who is a Flanker and occasional Wing Three Quarter will be a Co-vice captain and also he will be incharge of the forwards.

Hiruka Lindula, the cracking Center Three-Quarter is the other Co-Vice Captain of the side. He is a nippy player with enough gas to provide blistering runs with the ball. Hiruka has the ability to play in the Scrum-half position apart from his regular duties.

Former Peterite player and national Under 20 rugby 7s coach Collin Denish Peter has been appointed as the head coach of the Science Brigade for the upcoming season. The veteran coach is no stranger to Science Maroons and he guided them to pinnacle of the school rugby as the Mount Lavinia boys went on to clinch the Milo knockout trophy by defeating the nemesis, Green Machine in 2015.

Further the well experienced campaigner, Lasindu Karunathilake will be the Assistant Coach of the team while Savinda Madhusanka is appointed as the Physio.
