The race demands not only speed, but also strategic pit stops for driver changes, fuel, and potential repairs. Endurance, consistent performance, and effective communication within the team are key to success in this intense and exhilarating competition.

Fourteen teams will be competing for a spot on the podium while racing amongst a talented field of drivers and team managers. The championship consists of 3 rounds which are set to kick off this Saturday the 13th of July, followed by Round 2 on the 7th of September with the final race scheduled for the 9th of November.

“Endurance Karting tests the skill of the racer to manage the kart optimally and on teamwork and strategy. Spectators will witness top Karting racers in the country in their competitive playing field showcasing a thrilling blend of speed, endurance, and expertise”, enthused, Buddhima Atapattu, Divisional Manager – David Pieris Group.

As with international endurance racing, a key aspect of the event will be the driver changes, with teams being able to field a maximum of six racers. Team managers and their pit crew are also essential for the six-hour endurance race, adding strategy and race planning to the mix, with swift pit stops and lateral thinking crucial for victory.
