This year for the first time, Gateway College will organize the Under 20 International Schools Football Tournament in collaboration with the Football Federation of Sri Lanka (FFSL).

Mr. Anura De Silva, President of the FFSL speaking at the press conference said, “With this tournament, we see an opportunity to see potential players and potential coaches, which we are lacking in the present days. With our vision for the game, we want to see more players and more schools showing more keenness for this sport to develop their technical skills and become feeders to the National team.”

As such, Gateway College has invested in a large property in Ratmalana, which houses a football field of the highest standards where this tournament will be staged. The school hopes the partnership with the FFSL will result in an exciting event for the U20 players of the TISSL schools.
