With the Sri Lanka contract crisis averted selected headed by Sanath Jayasuriya picked the strongest available squad for the forthcoming first test versus Bangladesh to be played in Galle.
Angelo Mathews will have the services of two former captains in the form of Kumar Sangakkara and TM Dilshan in his first test as captain. Injured Mahela Jayawardena a notably absentee in the squad.
Kithruwan Vithanage has been rewarded for his splendid performance in the warm up game currently in progress in Matara. Dinesh Chandimal will continue with responsibilities behind the stumps. Uncapped PHT Kaushal also finds his place in the squad after strong performances in the current domestic season.
