Packeer Ali appointed as Head Coach
The Football Federation of Sri Lanka (FFSL) has appointed Nizam Packeer Ali as the Head Coach of the Sri Lanka National Football team.
The trial will be held on 2nd, 3rd & 4th April at the Beddegana National Football Complex. Interested players are asked to be present at the venue on 2nd April at 6.00am.
“We are doing this extra trial for those who missed out in the earlier ones due to injury and other reasons. Also for the ones who missed out from the Central areas due to the unrest in Kandy and Digana during the last 2-3 weeks,” Manager of the Sri Lanka Team Sunil Senaweera told exclusively with ThePapare.com.
The National Team coaching staff conducted 5 trials during the last few weeks with a trial each in North and East.

“We are planning on naming the main 30-player squad by 6th April along with the other 30 player squad, which will act as the ‘B’ team,” Senaweera added.
Sri Lanka are gearing up for the upcoming South Asian Football Federation (SAFF) Championship, which will be held from 4th-15th September in Bangladesh.
