The Netball Federation of Sri Lanka (NFSL) announced the final 12-player Sri Lanka Netball squad for the Netball World Cup 2023.

The squad is finalized subject to the approval from the Minister of Sports. Netball World Cup will be held from 28th July – 6th August in Cape Town, South Africa. The squad will continue training under head coach Thilaka Jinadasa and assistant coach P.D.N. Prasadi.

Players to miss out from the 16-player squad are Imasha Perera, Rukshala Hapuarachchi, Chamudi Wickramarathne and Tharushi Navodya Perera. However, in the unlikely scenario where Tharjini Sivalingam, who is playing in the Victorian Netball League in Australia, is not able to join the squad she will be replaced by Imasha Perera.

Of the 12 selected Thishala Algama, Gayathri Kaushalya and Shanika Perera are the only players who were not part of the Asian Championship winning squad from 2022.

The pool was selected by the selection committee headed by former Sri Lanka captain Damayanthi Jayathilake, Thisangani Kodituwakku and Chamika Jayasekara.
