England cricket have announced a tour to Sri Lanka for 3 Women’s ODIs and T20Is through March.
The England Women’s team is currently in India, where they will face the hosts in 3 ODIs and 3 T20Is. The 3 ODIs will be a part of the ICC Women’s Championship, which will determine automatic qualification for the ICC Women’s World Cup in 2021.

The hosts of the showpiece event, New Zealand and the three other top teams from this championship will gain direct qualification to the tournament while the remaining four sides will get a second chance through the ICC Women’s World Cup Qualifier event in which they will be joined by six teams from four regions – Africa, Asia, East Asia Pacific and Europe.
England currently sit in 7th position on the table, ahead of only Sri Lanka, however, England have 5 wins in 9 games under their belt, while Sri Lanka have just 1 in 12 games. England’s last ODI assignment was way back in July 2018, while Sri Lanka are fresh off a 3-0 defeat to South Africa earlier this month.
ICC Women’s T20 World Cup 2020 Fixtures – Sri Lanka Women placed in Group A
The 1st two ODIs are set to be played at the Mahinda Rajapakse International Cricket Stadium in Suriyawewa, with the 3rd to follow at the Chilaw Marians Cricket Ground in Katunayake. The T20Is will all be played in Colombo (Colts/SSC).
