The 6’2” lanky new kid on the block made rear entry to the side in place of the injured Dhammika Prasad. He took 2 wickets on debut in New Zealand recently impressing with bowling speeds of 140-146+. By his own admission he says he is able to crank it up to 150.

A product of Maris Stella College, he has represented NCC in the Premier League taking 51 first class wickets in 20 matches.

The selectors have taken a bold stand in drafting the ypungster into the squad with no warm up matches and lack of experience,  calling him to swim or sink in the big pond.
