It was another dull draw between Thurstan College and Moratuwa Vidyalaya today at the Moratuwa grounds.
Batting from their overnight score of 95 runs the host’s managed to score 257 runs in 86.2 over’s with their overnight batsman Ishan Peiris scoring 84 runs. Sachin Fernando who was also unbeaten on 22* managed to end his innings on 33 runs.
Harsha Fernando and Pathum de Silva were the other noteworthy scorer, contributing with scores of 41 and 25 respectively. For the visitors it was Asintha Kalpana and skipper Ravindu Kumarasinghe who captured the bulk of the wickets taking 3 wickets each.
Thurstan College in their 2nd innings managed to end day two on 119 runs for 8 in 39 over’s with the help of Kavindu Kulasekera who scored a brisk 73 runs. Ishan Peiris and Harsha Fernando captured 3 wickets each.
