Here’s a round-up of the matches which concluded today in the SLC Premier League Tier B Tournament.
Panadura SC vs Police SC
The match at Police park ended in a tame draw between Police SC and Panadura SC. The boys from Panadura resumed the 3rd day with 22 runs on board without any loss of wickets. Centurion from the first innings, Kavish Naveed scored another brilliant knock of 94 runs unfortunately missing out on twin centuries in the match. Apart of Kavish, rest of the batters contributed with few good knocks which propelled them to 265 for 7 in 77 overs. With a massive lead of 319 runs, Panadura decided to declare their innings.
It was matter of survival for the hosts in their second innings. They wobbled early on but ultimately managed to see through the final day and earn themselves a draw.
Early on, Panadura SC posted 250 runs for their first innings with a century from Kavish Naveed. In reply, Police were bundled out for just 196 runs with Dhanushika Bandara taking 4 scalps for Panadura SC.

Negombo CC vs Lankan CC
Lankans CC barely managed to save the match against Negombo SC at Negombo today. Given a massive target of 323 runs to get in the final two sessions, Lankans batting line up crumbled yet again. It was heading towards a humiliating defeat at the hands of the hosts but an unbeaten knock of 86 by Geeth Kumara saved the day for the Lankans. At stumps they were 128 for 9, barely hanging on to a draw.
Early on, Negombo CC posted 223 runs for their first innings. In reply, Lankans were bundled out cheaply for 136 runs. With a deficit of 87 in favor of them, Negombo had the upper hand and they extended their lead by 236 runs in their 2nd innings which included half centuries from Lasith Croospulle, Shehan Weerasinghe and Akeel Inham.

Galle CC vs Air Force SC
A brilliant unbeaten century by Dulash Udayanga saw Air force claiming a stunning victory over Galle CC at Katunayake. Galle CC resumed play with 172 for 7 on board. Their last three wickets fell for just 24 runs which gave Air Force a challenging target of 212 runs. After conceding a slender first innings lead, it was highly unlikely that the Airmen would put together a fight, but it was a different approach from Air Force this time around.
Former Mahindian Dulash Udayanga who was out of touch until this innings, played an absolute gem of a knock to guide his team to their first outright victory this season. Air Force got over the line in 67.2 overs with 4 wickets in hand.
Early on, Galle CC were restricted for 178 after been put to bat first. Sohan Rangika bagged a 5-for for Air force. In reply, Air force managed only 163 runs for their first innings.

Kurunegala YCC vs Navy SC
The Sailors registered a comfortable 8 wicket victory against Kurunegala YCC at Welisara today. Kurunegala YCC resumed play in a disastrous position as they lost 3 quick wickets late on Day 2. Their innings got going with the help of a few good cameos in the middle order, especially Damith Perera who top scored with 65 runs. However, Navy ultimately managed to break through and bundle them out for 202 runs which gave them an easy target of just 54 runs.
The Sailors wasted no time in chasing it down as they reached the target in just 11.4 overs with 8 wickets in hand.
Early on, Kurunegala YCC posted 253 for their first innings. In reply, Navy posted a massive 402 for 9 with a brilliant century by Kusal Edirisuriya.
