The national selectors have dropped inconsistent Kusal Perera and Ajantha Mendis from the squad for the 6th and 7th ODI matches while they have recalled Test opener Dimuth Karunarathne and Dinesh Chandimal to the squad of 15. Leg-spinner Seekuge Prasanna returns as well replacing his club-mate Mendis. Ashan Priyanjan who did not play in any of the games yet who was in the squad has also been left out for the final two games.
Dimuth has played only 6 ODIs though he has made 13 Test appearances while both Chandimal and Seekuge were a part of the team that got thrashed 5-0 by India last month. 6th ODI will be played on 13th December at Pallekelle while the final game is scheduled to be played on 16th December in Colombo
